Steelwork for Mezzanine Floor

Steelwork for Mezzanine Floor – October 2025

Project Overview
This month we carried out a job for a new client who needed more space on their shop floor. The existing layout was holding them back, so the answer was to put in a mezzanine level that would make better use of the building’s height.

Scope of Works
Our role was to fabricate and install the steelwork to support the mezzanine. All steel was cut and prepared in our workshop before being delivered to site, where our team erected the framework, carried out the connections and made sure everything tied in securely with the existing structure.

Challenges
The main challenge was the fact that work had to be done in a live environment. Careful planning around deliveries and installation meant the client could keep things running while we were on site. Accuracy was also important, every beam and column had to slot into place with no room for error.

Outcome
Once completed, the new mezzanine gave the client an extra 60m² of floor space. It’s a big improvement that immediately opened up how they can use the shop floor, making the space more flexible and efficient. The job was finished on time, safely, and exactly to what the client needed.
